A member only special tour of the Jewish Museum's premier exhibition for 2021 - MIRKA.

Arriving at 7pm, you will have 50 mins to explore the immersive ‘Mirka-world’ that reflects the artist’s trademark mischievousness and her big-hearted, romantic, bohemian spirit. This intimate, previously unseen view into Mirka's rich and fascinating personal history features more than 200 never-exhibited works from the private collections of the Mora family and Mirka’s studio and archives, alongside pieces from the Mirka collection acquired by the Heide Museum of Modern Art.
At 7:50pm, we'll gather in the MIRKA+ space downstairs, where Janine will discuss the exhibition and respond to questions. Guests may then return to the exhibition. The event will conclude at 8.30pm.
In 2020, Janine Burke, art historian and author, wrote Seaside Angel: Mirka Mora's St Kilda for the Society's website.
