Welcome to the new website of The St Kilda Historical Society Inc. 

The St Kilda Historical Society Inc. is a non-profit organisation that was established in 1970 to foster historical interest in and knowledge of St Kilda, Elwood and the surrounding areas. 

The Society is active in ensuring the historic character of the area is preserved as far as possible and is indebted to our many volunteers who generously donate their energies towards these ends.

The Society is affiliated with the Royal Historical Society of Victoria and a member of Museums Australia and Museums Australia Victoria.
