VALE ROBERT SINATT
One of our members Robert Sinatt died on 26 November 2014 and his execotors National Australia Bank have advised the Society that Robert has bequeathed to us an 1845 silver cup presented by Captain Kenney to Charles Steadman for fast swimming. I have never met Robert but maybe one of our long serving members may have known him.
all the Society's collection is now back in the Community Room in the 8 cupboards tp the left of the kitchen. I thank Janet Beeston, her niece Alice and Phillip Stewart for all their help in moving all the boxes and filing cabinets.
Our Flickr site is progressing well with over 450 images having been scanned and able to be viewed. The hard work is being done by Janet Beeston, Helen Halliday and Phillip Stewart . The images have been donated over the 45 years since the Society began. If a member has images of St Kilda that they do not want to donate but could allow us to scan and return to them we would acknowledge their permission to use the image. The site can be viewed at stkildahistoryflckr.org.au
Many members have missed the newsletter since we stopped publishing so a sub committee is looking into the possibility of resurrecting the newsletter. We are in the early stages of our discussions but when there is any news I will update you.
Details of our 2015 meetings are available on the website under Events and then Talks and Walks
