Longtime church member Elisabeth Newman will tell us about the church's history and its place in the community. Dr Bronwyn Hughes, an acknowledged stained glass expert will talk about the church's beautiful windows and we may even hear someone playing on the recently restored organ.

Carmel Shute will be speaking to Lucy Sussex about her book Fergus Hume and the Mystery of the Hansom Cab. Based on a Victorian blockbuster written by Fergus Hume that outsold the first Sherlock Holmes book worldwide. It’s about a high society killing that ends in St Kilda.

Between 1850 and 1890 the sleepy seaside area of St Kilda was transformed into a suburb of grand mansions for the wealthy. Sadly most are now gone. Join Peter Johnson to re-discover some of the forgotten glories from this period.
